Maths ExpressMaths Express is designed for use by the more able children in your class, working within the context of the National Numeracy Strategy.
Each set of units ends with a Problems page which requires the children to apply the skills taught in the preceeding units.
Some schools have been using the year 5 & 6 books for pre-SATs cramming.
They are also used on a one-to-one basis with less-abled students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
Next year "Maths Express" will evolve into a pair of copymaster books called Move on Maths! 7-9 and Move on Maths! 9-11.
The books will cover the following aspects of the revised Primary Numeracy Framework:
Each copymaster has been adapted from an original Maths Express page. Alongside each copymaster is a teachers' page with suggested starter actvity(ies) plus the answers for the worksheet.
